Find Churchill County Recent Arrests

Churchill County recent arrests do not flow from a county-run feed or an open jail roster. No public booking list exists online. The right record depends on the question. Need current custody? The detention line and Nevada S.A.V.E. can confirm a new arrest. For older events, court files and The Fallon Post help. Matching the question to the record is the fastest way to learn who was arrested in Churchill County.

How Churchill County Recent Arrests Surface

The Churchill County Sheriff's Office runs the county detention center, yet its website posts no public booking feed. Nothing sorts today's arrests. No refresh time or photo promise exists. That gap shapes every Churchill County search. Call detention at 775-423-1596 for a live custody question, and use 775-423-3116 for the Sheriff's non-emergency line. Nevada S.A.V.E. adds a separate statewide custody and notification lookup.

Churchill County recent arrests therefore surface through several windows, each answering a different question. The phone channel covers present custody. The Fallon Post prints a dated weekly blotter. A narrow records request can seek the booking document or photo. Clerks hold the later court history. Mix the windows up and trouble follows. A dated blotter story is never a live roster entry.

Note: The detention page’s 48-hour lockdown rule concerns a newly admitted person inside the facility, not online posting time.

Who Was Arrested Last Night?

No official Churchill County webpage lists "last night" arrests. The detention line answers present custody. Then search Nevada S.A.V.E. by full or partial name. Its results update on a periodic delay and are not official criminal-history records. A released person can drop from results while a registration stays active. The same-day arrest guide covers spelling variations, release, transfer, and the missing county feed.

Another channel is the Churchill County Sheriff, NV mobile app. It offers inmate searches and jail information. Neither the county page nor the Apple listing promises a complete booking feed or photos. Want a dated document? Request the record rather than waiting for an online name to appear. The official Sheriff's Office page shows the contact route for immediate questions.

Searching the Churchill County Jail Roster

The Churchill County Detention Center posts no online roster. No searchable fields, refresh schedule, or photo promise exists. That does not mean the records are gone. Nevada's local-government retention schedule describes jail registers, population rosters, booking records, and long-lived inmate case files. None of it reaches the open web. So treat no aggregator as "the official roster."

A good request starts with details that single out one person. Ask whether the facility maintains and can release these items, rather than assuming they are guaranteed online fields.

Search or request detailWhy it helps
Full name and aliasesSeparates similar names and spelling variants
Date of birth or ageConfirms identity where the detail is legally releasable
Approximate arrest or booking dateNarrows a booking/re-booking record search
Booking, intake, or case numberConnects the custody record to a specific event
Arresting agencyShows whether the Sheriff, Fallon Police, Nevada Highway Patrol, or another agency may hold the report
Custody or release dateDistinguishes current detention from a historical booking
  1. Call detention at 775-423-1596 for a current-custody question.
  2. Use SAVE for custody notification, not as a complete arrest archive.
  3. Try the official Sheriff app for its advertised inmate-search and jail-information features.
  4. Request the booking record when the person has been released or a document is needed.
  5. Use the appropriate court for the filed charge and final disposition.

Booked versus released: a current roster covers people held now. A booking record may stay with the custodian long after release, transfer, or dismissal.

Where Churchill County Arrests Are Published

Authority and publication depth are different things. Official offices control custody and records. A newspaper or aggregator may show more dated rows on the open web. Use those leads only to spot a name, agency, and date, then verify with an official custodian or court.

Fallon Recent Arrests and Booking

Fallon is Churchill County's county seat and only incorporated city. The 2020 Census counted 9,327 residents. Fallon Police handle city arrests. County custody records matter once someone books into the Churchill County Detention Center. An event can also end in citation, release, transfer, or booking by another agency. Verify the destination. The Fallon Recent Arrests page compares city police records. It also weighs the county detention path, local press releases, and weekly news coverage.

What a Churchill County Arrest Record Shows

A booking record documents entry into custody and possible release. An arrest report describes the law-enforcement event itself. A court file follows the prosecution. Nevada's statewide retention manual lists fields local jails may keep. It is not a Churchill County public export. Request fields "if maintained and releasable." Inmate files can hold protected medical, victim, juvenile, Social Security, NCIC, and next-of-kin details.

Record fieldWhat it can establish
IdentityLegal name, alias, age, or date of birth used to distinguish a person
Booking identityIntake, booking, or case number plus booking date and time
Agency and officerThe arresting or booking authority and the likely report custodian
Charges as bookedInitial charges, citations, or warrant indicators
Bond or conditionsTerms recorded at that stage, which may later change
Custody movementRelease date and time, transfer, hold, or other status
PhotographAn identifying image if taken, retained, releasable, and included in the response
Court linkageCourt and case number used to locate complaint, hearings, and disposition

Booking is only the start. The case moves on to court. New River Township Justice Court or the Tenth Judicial District Court keeps the procedural record, depending on jurisdiction. The outcome lives in that court file, not a copied booking page.

Churchill County Mugshots After an Arrest

Churchill County publishes no online booking photographs. Nothing on its official pages explains how to view one. The Nevada retention manual does allow mug shots. It also permits other identifying photos inside an inmate case file. Those files can sit in storage far longer than a current roster does. Retention is not web access. A file may hold confidential material too. No photo galleries are hosted here, and booking images are never rehosted.

A narrow public-record request can still work. Ask the Sheriff's Office for a booking photograph tied to a named event. Include the person's name, an approximate booking date, and any identifying number you have. Request an electronic copy as well. The custodian may redact information. It can also cite a legal basis for withholding, or point you to the office that holds it. Nevada sets no commercial mugshot statute and no pay-for-removal law. Access instead turns on public-records, criminal-history, sealing, and favorable-disposition law.

The Nevada Department of Corrections offender search can display photos for state-sentenced prisoners. It is not a Churchill County booking-photo system. The interface itself calls the information raw data. It sends recent-arrest questions back to the appropriate city or county. Recent arrests fall outside it. Local pretrial detainees, probationers, and paroleers do too.

Unofficial sites like RecentlyBooked and Busted Newspaper may show copied images. Their records can be stale or wrong. What they publish says nothing about what Churchill County currently releases.

Request a Churchill County Arrest Record

Start with the right office. The county Records Requests page routes District Court and Clerk/Treasurer requests. A Sheriff or detention booking request belongs with the Sheriff's Office at 180 West A Street, Fallon, NV 89406. NRS 239.0107 sets the response clock. An agency must provide access or a copy. The deadline is the end of the fifth business day. Otherwise it must explain the record is missing. It can also give a later availability date, or cite authority for withholding. That framework still cannot force every field or image into public view.

  1. Identify the event with full name, approximate arrest and booking dates, agency, and case or booking number if known.
  2. Name the exact document: arrest report, booking/re-booking record, release data, or booking photograph.
  3. Send the request to the likely custodian and ask for redirection if another office holds it.
  4. Ask for an electronic copy when available and request an estimate before incurring an unusual charge.
  5. Read any denial or redaction explanation, then use the appropriate court record to check disposition.

Fees depend on the record holder. NRS 239.052 caps most copy charges at actual cost. Another law can set a different fee. NDOC lists 15 cents per page. That rate covers its own records, not Sheriff booking records. New River Township Justice Court charges $1 per name for a records search. The District Court adds $1 per name per year plus copy charges. The official county request page shows how Churchill routes court-record requests.

Nevada Arrest Records, Sealing, and Removal

Nevada's access law and its sealing statute are different tools. NRS Chapter 239 creates a public-record access process. It never requires Churchill County to publish a roster or photo gallery online. NRS 179A.160 offers a route on criminal-history records after certain favorable dispositions. The route is subject to statutory requirements and exceptions. NRS Chapter 179 holds the sealing provisions. None of this summary is legal advice.

Retention is not publication. The state schedule keeps booking records for at least two calendar years. Jail registers last five years; current rosters only 90 days after update. Inmate files stay on hand much longer. Yet no minimum promises public access or persistence on the web.

Churchill County's sealing guide walks through the process. Obtain a verified criminal history first. Prepare a custodian list, then file an original plus four copies. New River Township Justice Court charges a $51 filing fee. Sealing the official record won't erase independent web copies. After the source is corrected or sealed, request correction from each publisher. Use the search engine's process for outdated results. Some aggregators publish free correction or removal policies. Skip any paid service that promises a guaranteed legal outcome instead. Keep copies of orders and correspondence. Avoid sending identity documents unless a legitimate process requires them.

Churchill County Warrants and Wanted Notices

Churchill County publishes no public warrant-search portal. The Sheriff runs no current most-wanted page either. An old booking, a search snippet, or an unofficial list proves nothing about a live warrant. Call the Sheriff at 775-423-3116 and ask which office can legally confirm a status. New River Township Justice Court lists 775-423-2845 for case records. The Tenth Judicial District clerk lists 775-423-6088. A court filing search and a law-enforcement warrant check may draw on different systems. A no-result in one does not prove no warrant exists.

The Nevada DPS dispatch directory confirms the local Sheriff number and separately lists a state General Services Warrants Office. The Sheriff app takes tips, not emergencies. Never confront someone believed to be wanted. Call 911 for immediate danger. Anyone worried about a possible warrant should contact an attorney or the court.

After a Churchill County Arrest

Two courts divide the work after a Churchill County arrest. New River Township Justice Court runs misdemeanor trials, traffic matters, and preliminary examinations for felony and gross-misdemeanor charges. The Tenth Judicial District Court then takes the felony and gross-misdemeanor cases themselves, along with any later district-court proceedings. A booking page is only a first look, though. It may list an early bond entry, yet it will not track every amended charge, hearing, dismissal, plea, acquittal, or judgment that follows.

Find the court named on the citation or booking paperwork. That is the right place to start. Ask the clerk how the case search works and what it costs. Then match by case number and identity, not by name alone. If the arrest never became a filed case, the booking custodian may still hold a record; if it did, rely on the court's docket or certified documents for the final outcome.

A booking entry documents the arrest itself. Case outcomes belong to the court record, not the jail.

When Custody Moves Beyond Churchill County

Which locator works depends on the custody stage. NDOC lists people sentenced to Nevada prison. It may show an offender photo. The same list is not a pretrial roster for the county jail. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator reaches federally incarcerated people back to 1982. It publishes no booking photos. Immigration detention is a separate matter handled by the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Federal pretrial custody sits with the U.S. Marshals Service, which runs no general public locator and rarely releases booking photos.

Someone missing from one system may simply be in another stage of custody. They may have been released, transferred, or listed under a different spelling. For Churchill County recent arrests, start local. Move to NDOC only after a prison sentence, or to a federal tool when the case is federal. State offender images and county mugshots answer different questions. See the booking-photo section before conflating them.

The official NDOC search form shows both its offender-ID and name search options.

Why Churchill’s VINE Link Changed

The county detention page still carries the old VINE name and the number 888-268-8463. Nevada's Attorney General disabled VINE registration on August 28, 2025. Search and notification ended the next day. The state replaced the system with Nevada S.A.V.E. Prior registrations mostly transferred. App users, though, were told to register again. That mismatch can steer a Churchill County reader down a dead-end route. The county page itself remains official.

The VINELink Custody Check guide walks through the live SAVE search instead. SAVE accepts a name or identifier, including partial names in its published format. Alerts can arrive by email, text, phone, or TTY. Updates come periodically, not instantly, and federal custody stays outside the system. Treat the old VINE wording as history.

How Booking Rules Affect Arrest Searches

The Churchill County Detention Center opened in December 2017. It sits inside the Sheriff's Office at 180 West A Street. Its official page sets a 48-hour lockdown for new admissions. Capacity reaches 120 inmates, including certain juveniles adjudicated as adults and remanded there. Those rules explain why immediate contact can be hard after an arrest. They say nothing about any online refresh cycle. The county publishes no schedule for updating booking data.

Mail rules offer one more identity check. The detention page requires a full inmate name and booking number on all incoming correspondence. That is not a public booking-number search. It does show why the right identifier matters. Get it from detention staff before mailing a letter or requesting a file. Capacity is a ceiling. It is not a headcount of who was arrested in Churchill County this week.
