Terms entered in search tools
A name, place, or other term submitted through a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that search service. Churchill County Recent Arrests does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls its handling of the query after submission.
Messages sent to us
If you email us or submit a contact message, we keep the message and the details supplied with it as needed to respond. We do not share that correspondence beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Routine web systems may create technical records when a page loads. Those records help deliver the site, measure performance, and diagnose errors. The details can include:
- the visitor’s Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- the date and time of a request.
Cookies and browser controls
Cookies may be used to understand how people move through the site and to support site functions. A visitor can limit or block cookies through browser settings. Some functions may work differently or become unavailable when cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Use Information
Collected information is used only for ordinary site and service needs, including the following purposes:

- sending a search request to the selected partner service;

Websites Beyond Our Control
Pages may link to the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office, Churchill County Detention Center, Fallon Police Department, Nevada Department of Corrections, court resources, custody services, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination’s privacy notice and data practices apply. We do not set those practices.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing takes place through their systems, not through a database controlled by Churchill County Recent Arrests.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may still be transmitted or disclosed to parties that perform a stated function:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver advertisements; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security, Not a Guarantee
We use standard safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access or misuse. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system connected to the internet is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that data will never be exposed, intercepted, or lost.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly seek or collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Choices About Your Information
Subject to applicable law and the information actually held by us, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data we maintain;
- correct personal information that is inaccurate;
- delete information that no longer needs to be retained; or
- opt out of forms of processing where that choice applies.
Nevada residents may also review applicable state privacy and consumer-protection rights. A request does not alter records held by Churchill County, Fallon, a court, or another government custodian.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice when site practices, services, or legal requirements change. The updated wording and a new effective date will be posted on this page.
