Check Churchill County Custody

A VINELink custody check for Churchill County now points to Nevada's statewide system. The old name lingers. Nevada S.A.V.E. is the live service today. It helps locate one person in custody or under supervision, and it can send notice after a release, transfer, or other tracked change. It is not an arrest list, though. You will not find a full Churchill County arrest history or court record there either. Fresh bookings may take time to show up. Someone already released may not appear. County detention staff and the proper state or federal locator still matter when a result looks wrong.

Churchill County Custody Alert System

Nevada S.A.V.E. handles search and alerts statewide. It replaced Nevada VINE in 2025. Churchill County once ran under the old VINE flag, which is why older pages still mention it. Those pages describe a retired system. Old branding still turns up in local material. For any Churchill County custody question today, begin at the official Nevada S.A.V.E. search.

S.A.V.E. hunts for one named person inside the custody and supervision data it receives. It is not a browsable booking feed. The search page itself warns that updates happen from time to time and the data is not an official record. A match supports a custody check. It cannot confirm a court outcome. The Nevada S.A.V.E. screen displays the name-or-identifier search used for Churchill County custody questions. It is the official entry point.

Legacy VINELink pages can still surface in search results. The live, official screen sits on the Nevada S.A.V.E. site.

Note: S.A.V.E. is a status and notification tool, not a Churchill County arrest archive or final court-disposition source.

Search Churchill County Custody Records

Have enough identity detail ready before you search. S.A.V.E. accepts a full or partial first and last name, or an offender identifier. Its rules allow a partial search with at least the first three characters of each name, separated by a space. A CAPTCHA comes first. The search runs only after that check is complete. Compare any result with details you already know rather than trusting the name alone.

  1. Open Nevada S.A.V.E. and select the search function.
  2. Enter the person’s full first and last name. If spelling is uncertain, use the supported partial-name format.
  3. Use an offender identifier when one is known. It can reduce the risk of choosing the wrong same-name person.
  4. Complete the CAPTCHA and review every possible match.
  5. Compare the facility, identifier, and available status details with information already known about the Churchill County arrest.

A missing name proves nothing. The booking may be too new to show. Spelling differences, a citation and release, or a system S.A.V.E. does not cover can all hide a person too. Churchill County publishes no official web roster. For a very recent event, the Churchill County arrests last 24 hours page lays out the direct confirmation route. Call the jail when speed matters.

Churchill County Custody Result Fields

A S.A.V.E. result answers one narrow question. Can this specific person be found in the custody or supervision data the system holds right now? Detail varies by agency. Treat what appears as status information. It is not a certified arrest record, a court docket, or a complete account of every past custody.

Result fieldHow to read it
Name or identityUse it with other known details because different people may share a name.
Offender identifierA system identifier can help distinguish one person from another.
Custody or supervision statusThis reflects the status supplied to S.A.V.E., subject to periodic updates.
Facility or agency contextThis may show where the person is tracked, but confirm it with the responsible agency.
Status changeA release, transfer, or other tracked event may support an alert when a registration exists.

Released people may still surface in results. A registered alert can sit dormant. It may wake up if the person returns to custody, which is why the status matters. A "no current result" is not the same as "no prior booking," and court or agency records from an arrest still exist. For historical records, ask the Sheriff's Office.

Register Churchill County Custody Alerts

The official Nevada S.A.V.E. registration page sets up email, SMS, phone, and TTY notifications for Churchill County custody alerts. Names stay optional. You just need an email address and a password to open an account. Registration lets you monitor one person's status. Notice of every event at once is not promised.

Nevada SAVE registration page for email text phone and TTY custody alerts

That form is the right hub. Use it to set and update contact methods after you locate the correct Churchill County custody record.

  1. Find the correct person in S.A.V.E. before creating an alert. Compare identity details first.
  2. Open registration and provide a working email address. Names may be left blank under the published form.
  3. Create a password that follows the displayed rules. The current rules call for at least ten characters with upper- and lowercase letters, a number, and a special character.
  4. Select one or more reachable methods: email, SMS, phone, or TTY. Keep those details current.
  5. Complete any security or victim-advocate prompts that apply, then retain account access for later changes.

Older VINE guides mention a four-digit phone PIN. They also list alerts for release, transfer, escape, death, work release, or furlough. Those directions fit the retired system, not a new account. Every fresh Churchill County registration belongs in S.A.V.E.

Why Churchill County Still Says VINE

The Churchill County Detention Center page still promotes Victim Information & Notification Everyday, better known as VINE. It even lists the old VINE phone number. That reflects the county's real role in the former program. The branding is simply stale now. Nobody should register there for a new account.

Nevada's Attorney General transition notice sets the timeline. VINE stopped taking new registrations on August 28, 2025, and search plus notification ended the next day. Nevada S.A.V.E. took over. Older registrations generally carried over. App users, though, were told to register again, so anyone who relied on the VINE app should confirm their status inside S.A.V.E.

The county detention page shown here keeps that VINE-era notice on display, which explains why two names appear during a Churchill County search.

Note: Recheck both the county detention page and Nevada S.A.V.E. because agency wording and system connections can change.

Confirm Churchill County Custody Offline

Phone calls still work best for urgent Churchill County custody questions. The state's S.A.V.E. line answers around the clock at 866-393-5445. Prefer to deal with the county directly? Detention staff take calls at 775-423-1596, and the Sheriff's Office non-emergency number is 775-423-3116. For slower system questions, S.A.V.E. also lists NVSave@ag.nv.gov, though replies can take up to three business days. When you call, ask one narrow question. Offer enough identifying detail to avoid mistaken matches. Staff can only share so much. An online result may trail behind an actual booking or a move between facilities. The Churchill County Detention Center holds local detainees, some of them awaiting court. A person might also have been released. They could have been transferred, cited out, or booked by a different agency entirely. Every state runs its own check. Know which system you are querying.

Booking
The intake process after an arrest, when identity, charges, and custody details are recorded.
Transfer
A move from one jail, prison, or responsible agency to another.
Release
The end of the current custody hold, even though a court case may continue.
Disposition
The court’s later outcome, which may differ from the charge recorded at booking.

The county's own pages publish no searchable jail roster. S.A.V.E. and a direct call to detention fill that gap, though neither hands over a copy of a booking record without a records request. The Churchill County recent arrests hub lays out those county records and the request process.

Churchill County Custody System Limits

S.A.V.E. does not reach every custody system. The Nevada Department of Corrections search covers people already sentenced to state prison, not every local pretrial booking in Churchill County. Federal custody works the same way. Bureau of Prisons, ICE, and U.S. Marshals each run their own locators. A blank result in one system proves nothing about another, so a federal no-hit cannot rule out a fresh Churchill County booking either. The official Churchill County Sheriff, NV mobile app adds one more county channel. County materials say it carries jail information, inmate searches, and general public-safety content. What the listing does not promise is a full booking feed, booking photos, or an arrest archive going back in time. Treat the app as one access point rather than proof that every arrest shows up inside it.

You do not need third-party booking pages to set up custody alerts. Those sites can sit stale. They keep listing an arrest long after release. They also have no say over S.A.V.E. notifications. Start with official sources. Confirm the person, find the right custodian, and subscribe through the current state service.

Verify urgent status directly. Automated custody data can lag. Call detention or the S.A.V.E. offline-jail line when timing affects personal safety or a planned pickup.
